    After the ride

    The routine to follow after every session: power down, rinse, dry, inspect and recharge.

    Applies to
    Awake boards, Flex batteries, drive units and hand controllers.

    Power down

    1. Disconnect the Power Key Leash from the battery.
    2. Remove the battery from the board.

    Rinse with fresh water

    Fresh water removes salt that corrodes metal parts and sand that scratches the finish. Rinse each part separately.

    Never use high-pressure water.

    Dry completely

    Air-dry every part or towel it off, avoiding long periods in direct sun. Storing gear wet can cause mould, odour, discolouration and deformation.

    Inspect

    1. Look for dents and scratches on every module.
    2. Check for loose screws or gaps between parts; the jet system is most exposed to debris and rough bottoms.
    3. Clean the jet system.
    4. Treat the board and battery connectors with contact spray.

    Found damage? Contact us before riding again rather than attempting a repair.

    Recharge and sync

    1. Put the battery on charge.
    2. Connect the battery to the Awake Link app to send diagnostics.
    3. Put the hand controller on charge.
