The eFoil market has grown up. And with it, so have the expectations of the riders who demand the most from their time on the water.

For years, the choice when buying a premium electric hydrofoil came down to a familiar trade-off: buy a large, forgiving board that makes learning easy but quickly feels sluggish as your skills develop, or go small and aggressive and spend your first dozen sessions fighting the board just to stand up. The VINGA Carve was built to end that compromise.

This is not a beginner board dressed up in premium clothing, nor is it a specialist performance weapon that punishes anyone who isn't already an expert. The VINGA Carve is a genuinely all-round eFoil — one that rides as well on your first session as it does on your hundredth.

The Shape That Changes Everything

Most eFoil boards are designed around a single priority. Stability-first designs tend to be long, wide, and high-volume — easy to stand on, but heavy to manoeuvre and slow to respond once you're flying. Performance-first designs are compact and low-volume — incredibly reactive in the air, but unforgiving at takeoff and punishing when you fall.

At 5'2" with 77 litres of volume, the VINGA Carve sits precisely in the space between those two worlds. It has enough buoyancy to support a confident, relaxed takeoff without requiring perfect technique, yet its compact footprint and flat deck architecture mean the board never feels sluggish or disconnected once you're up and flying.

The scow bow — a modern, blunt nose design borrowed from high-performance sailing — improves glide efficiency and dramatically speeds up the board's release from the water surface. Touchdowns, which on many boards feel abrupt and punishing, become composed and forgiving. You can push harder, knowing the board will absorb your mistakes rather than amplify them.

The deep V-hull beneath the surface does the same work in the water. It slices cleanly through chop, reduces the board's tendency to skip or bounce during recovery, and gives the rider a more predictable, planted feeling when transitioning in and out of flight.

Power Without Compromise: The Linear Jet

The propulsion system is where the VINGA Carve separates itself most clearly from the field.

Many premium eFoils on the market use open propeller systems — effective, but carrying an inherent safety trade-off, particularly in shared water environments or around swimmers. Others use enclosed jet systems that are safe but historically underpowered, producing a soft, hesitant takeoff that requires riders to wait for the board to build momentum before it lifts.

The VINGA Carve uses Awake's Linear Jet — a fully shielded inboard propulsion system that delivers up to 8.2 kW of peak power output. That is a level of torque that most eFoils on the market simply cannot match. The result is a takeoff that is immediate and decisive, a mid-range that accelerates with authority, and a top speed of 45 km/h that arrives without drama.

Because the impeller is fully enclosed, there is no exposed blade contact risk — ever. You can fall next to the board, grab it in the water, or share it with a less experienced rider without concern. The Stealth Acoustics engineering keeps noise levels low, creating a ride that is as immersive and quiet as it is powerful.

Unlocked Gravity: Balance as a Design Principle

One of the most underappreciated aspects of eFoil design is where the weight sits. A board with a heavy battery positioned too high or too far back creates what engineers call "swing weight" — the tendency of the board to resist direction changes and feel cumbersome through turns.

Awake's engineers addressed this directly with the Unlocked Gravity battery placement system. The Flex Battery sits low and centrally within the board's hull, keeping the centre of mass as close to the rider's feet as possible. The effect is immediately noticeable: the board feels lighter than its specifications suggest, turns initiate with less effort, and the connection between rider input and board response is more direct and intuitive.

This is the same principle that makes a well-balanced surfboard feel alive underfoot, and it is what allows the VINGA Carve to carve with the agility of a much smaller board while retaining the stability of a much larger one.

The CLOUD Wings: Designed to Grow With You

The standard CLOUD Wing kit — a 1,100 mm² front wing paired with a 270 mm² stabiliser — was developed specifically to complement the VINGA Carve's balanced platform.

The wings offer forgiving lift at lower speeds, making early sessions less physically demanding and more enjoyable. As speed increases, the mid-aspect profile transitions smoothly into a clean, controlled carving arc — holding speed through turns rather than bleeding it, and delivering composed, predictable behaviour at the limits of the rider's ability.

This is the wing design philosophy that separates a board built for progression from one built merely for performance. The CLOUD Wings do not require you to already be a skilled eFoiler to enjoy them. They reward patience and improvement, and they remain engaging long after the initial learning curve has passed.

Built for Everyday Use, Not Just Showroom Floors

Premium eFoils are an investment, and the VINGA Carve is designed to protect that investment through real-world durability.

The carbon fibre construction keeps the board weight to just 7.5 kg — light enough to carry solo from the car to the water's edge without assistance. The Integrated Cavity Handles are recessed flush into the board's rails, so there is nothing to catch water, create drag, or snag on a transport bag. The signal-transparent glass fibre front deck ensures that the wireless connection between board and hand controller remains uninterrupted regardless of how aggressively you ride or how awkward the fall.

The Flex Hand Controller 4 completes the package — ergonomic, waterproof, and responsive, with a trigger that delivers precise, proportional speed control whether you are cruising at 15 km/h or pushing toward the top of the range.

Two Batteries. One Board. Your Call.

The VINGA Carve ships with the Flex Battery LR4 as standard, delivering up to 60 minutes of ride time in a lightweight package that keeps the overall system nimble and easy to handle.

For riders who want to explore further, stay out longer, or simply spend more time in the air per session, the Flex Battery XR4 extends ride time to 120 minutes — a full two hours on a single charge. Both batteries use the same tool-free, wireless click-in system, meaning swapping between them takes seconds, not minutes.

For existing Awake RÄVIK electric surfboard owners, the Flex Battery is fully interchangeable between the jetboard and the eFoil. One battery. Two completely different riding experiences. It is an ecosystem advantage that no other brand in the market currently offers.

Who Is the VINGA Carve For?

The honest answer is: most people who are serious about eFoiling.

It is the right board for the rider who is new to eFoiling but does not want to buy a board they will outgrow in a season. It is the right board for the intermediate rider who wants to push into more dynamic carving without fighting their equipment. It is the right board for the experienced eFoiler who wants a single, versatile platform that performs across flat water, mild chop, and everything in between.

It is also the right board for the rider who already owns an Awake RÄVIK and wants to add a second dimension to their time on the water — without buying a second battery.
